2007 ASCO MEETING - REPORT ON IMMUNOLOGIC EFFECTS OF GM-CSF

nether.institute.jpgThe Netherlands Cancer Institute, working with the Northern California Melanoma Center presented results of a study of the immunologic effects of administration of GM-CSF to patients with melanoma. The results showed that GM-CSF causes activation of dendritic cells, which have an important role in immune function by presenting antigens to the immune system to initiate immune responses.
